excellent March 10, 2010 Ms. Kirsty L. Cooper (england) ths book is amazing i didn't even know what twilight was 5 month ago and i hate romance stuff but after watching the first film i loved it and I have now read all the books and they are all great you just don't want to put them down. I would recommend the books and films to anyone no matter what your likes are, you will be totally hooked straight away.
Seemed a bit rushed March 10, 2010 V. Gauld (Wales) I only picked up the twilight series out of curiousity to see what all the fuss was about and i adored the first 3 books and read them all in the space of 3 days!
The main problem i had with BD was that i had already figured out the plot before i had even opened the cover, the progression of the story was incredibly predictable and tied up the loose ends a bit too neatly, it was too convenient. There is so much potential in this book that was just wasted. At times it even became a bit ridiculous and i dont believe that Bella could be so stupid in coming up with that name, it was a bit too "chav", a bit too zed list celebrity.
It is a very good read however and some of the moments are truely nail biting. But i couldnt help but feel like the author had rushed when writing it. The plot could easily have stretched into another book and i feel a bit like she had chickened out of writing an epic vampire war. The potential was there but i dont think the author was daring enough to grasp it with both hands.
Instead this epic romance, like so many other stories before it, has ended with a happily ever after.
Totally addictive March 9, 2010 J. M. Mcilroy (uk) I started reading the first book, Twighlight on Christmas Day and went through books 1, 2 and 3 like a hot knife through butter. I don't usually do hardbacks (a long standing aversion) but just had to order Breaking Dawn as I simply couldn't wait for the paperback version. The tension that built throughout the first three books continues. With some books you can guess at where the storyline is going but I really had no idea how the plot on this one was going to develop or what the ending would be. By the time you have reached Breaking Dawn you know the characters intimately but there is still an unpredictability which keeps you page turning well past bedtime ..... I was consumed with the need to know what was going to happen next (won't tell you and spoil it for you) but you won't be disappointed! The worst part was knowing that the story was going to end and that (as yet) there isn't a fifth book to move on to.
wow, 29 and loved the series, Steph please write more or finish midnight sun March 8, 2010 mrslewishamilton (London, UK) I too was shocked that people complained about Breaking Dawn. My only concern is that the movie will not capture this amazing book properly. I loved the 3 part idea of the book. OMG I loved this book and the romance def heats up a notch. Where is my Edward? I was taken to another world in BD. The passion between the couples in the book, not just between Bella and Edward is just amazing. The developments, wow, wow, Steph takes us on such an incredible journey. Steph gives us exactly what we want in this book. I am 29 and as sad as it sounds I loved the Twi books. Not going to lie the book could have been better written but you get what is going on and who is checking for grammar errors anyway, plus I am a teacher so I would comment on that. Regardless I say read the series. Stephenie please please write another book to continue this lovely story or please finish Edward's side of the story begining with Midnight Sun, so much more intense than Bella's, would love to know his views in NM, E and BD. More twilight full stop. Wish it was a TV series now and not a Movie, 4 or 5 movies if BD is split in two is simply not enough to satisfy my craving for this charming story. I loved it, could not put it down, made me smile.
