5 out of 5 stars Swedish thriller author   March 19, 2010
M. Kennish (isle of man)
This book is just fantastic I could not put it down once I started it! It is part of a trilogy so I have now ordered the next two books which I cannot wait to read. Such a pity that the author has died. Highly recommend reading this book!

This book has everything,if you want the best read you have had on your holiday, this year buy the three Stieg Larsson books sit back and be blown out of your mind .He only wrote Three books and then died, what a terrible waste of someone who could write with such an imagination.DON'T miss them

5 out of 5 stars The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo   March 17, 2010
Mrs. E. A. Wilson (S Yorks England)
Excellent story line which keeps suspense all the way through. A dark story which reflects something of the darker side of life in Sweden, a complicated plot demanding concentration. However, a most enjoyable read which keeps you on tenterhooks and longing for the next one in the Trilogy.

2 out of 5 stars Quite Boring   March 17, 2010

I felt the book was quite boring to start with an took long to get to the plot. The middle part of the book was very exciting and kept me guessing through out. The book is ok, and i will be going to see the film to see how they managed to portry the story and characters

The Girl Who Played With Fire
As you know, I went through Stieg Larsson's The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (Canada, USA, Europe) as quickly as humanly possible. The book was impossible to put down. Fortunately, when I finished the novel one night in Melaka, Malaysia, I just had to open my suitcase to pick up the sequel. Hence, about a minute passed between my finishing The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and my beginning The G...

Everything you need to know about Stieg Larsson, the bestselling author of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo ▶ The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was originally published in Sweden as Men Who Hate Women, a title English-language publishers rightly thought read, Don't Buy This Book. It is the first of the Millennium trilogy, a series of contemporary Swedish thrillers featuring Lisbeth Salander, a...

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Movie Trailer
As you know, I could not for the life of me put down Stieg Larsson's The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (Canada, USA, Europe), and the same thing goes for the sequel, The Girl Who Played With Fire (Canada, USA, Europe). These books make for compulsive reading! Don't know if the movie is any good (the trailer looks nice), but make sure you read the book beforehand, as there is no way in hell...

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo: feminist, or not?
Stieg Larsson's bestselling thriller The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo divided the critics, now the film has united them – and not in a good way The debate has raged ever since Stieg Larsson's bestselling thriller, the first in a trilogy, was published in Sweden in 2005, a year after the author's death. The film, released in the UK last Friday – described by the Guard...

A Book Dragon
by Donn Kushner I read a review on Savidge Reads today about a book I've been wanting to read, Firmin. It reminded me of another book I read several years ago, about another small animal who loved books, this one a dragon. I saw it on a clearance table at a bookstore one day, and was curious enough to buy it. A Book Dragon is a charming tale about a dragon called Nonesuch, who is the last of ...

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
When I spent 4 months backpacking around Europe in 2004, basically every other backpacker everywhere I went was reading a Dan Brown book. It was unreal. As a matter of course, during that trip I bought all four Corgi UK edition paperbacks, and every time I glance at them my thoughts wander back to that incredible summer spent abroad. This year, knowing that I had more than 20 hours of transit to g...
